Summer garden.

Hi everyone, hope you are well on this Tuesday morning. This is a card I made the other evening with the same technique as my pink rose card. This is how I made it below....
Stamp part of the bouquet stamp ( creative stamping magazine free stamp set or any other flower stamp will be fine ) with versa mark onto a piece of white card 13.5x13.5cm square. Sprinkle with white embossing powder all over the area, shake off and return to the pot, heat emboss with a heat tool then mask this area and repeat the first step until the entire bottom half is covered. Use the same technique for the butterflies's described above minus the masking. distress the edges and the tops of the flower's with broken China distress ink, then colour the butterflies's and  flower's in with Mica paints.
Decorate the flower's and sky with gem's and stamp a sentiment. Matt onto pink card and back onto a card base.
I love the pearlesent finish the mica gives off and the gems give it that extra touch.

faith, love and hope.

Hi everyone. I hope you are well this Sunday morning. last week i joined a Craft class with eileen lead by a lovely lady called Jane. It was such a brilliant class and the other ladies in the room were so nice and welcoming.
We made this stunning wall hanging. I was so pleased with the end result that I had to share this with you all.
This is how I made it..
I started by painting the 3 MDF plaques with acrylic paint. I used a heat gun to quicken the drying process and sanded back to give a distress look. I stamped faith, hope and love ( indigoblu ) onto the plaques with versa mark ( as is on the photo below ) then embossed with a black sparkly embossing powder (papermania) I applied blue distress inks through a stencil with bubble's on it and various stamps to make a lovely border. I then used a black momento pad to stamp the flowers, leaves and butterfly stamp (Jofy) and painted them with sparkle paint's with a lovely array of colours ( imagination crafts ) I finished by taking a length of blue twine and threading the plaques up, securing the ends with a knot.

Hello there, hope you are enjoying this glorious sunshine we are having at the moment.
I would like to share this card with you today, it's a tonic inspired card made with mink & white pearlesent cardstock, the embossing folder has a gorgeous rose design running though it, but I'm clueless to what the make is? The rose border embossing folder is from tattered lace, the die-cut behind the rose border is the lych gate wish from a strip die set from tonic studio's which i cut top & bottom to make a border strip, the swirl I used to decorate the rose border panel and wooden heart is the waste from the lych gate wish strip die ( you can easily see it in the die ) i used lots of pearls on this card to give it a elegant feel and a sentiment to finish.

New life cross.

Hi there. Hope you are all well this Wednesday morning. I would like to share this sympathy card with you today, we all have to make sympathy cards from time to time and I think the new life cross ( faith collection ) from tonic studios is ideal for this occasion. It can be useful for other occasions such as wedding's, christening's and Easter card's.
The card is very quick and easy with its simple matt and layers and embossing, made with cream cardstock, gold mirri and gold matt paper.
The swirl behind the cross is from cherry Lynn. I added pearls to the cross and a sentiment in black ink.

Pink roses.

Hi there. Hope you are all well on this Sunday morning. I must confess I have not been very proactive on the card front just resently, but decided I must challenge myself to make at least one card a week and share it with you. let's hoping!!
This is a card I made from the free gift on the simple cards & papercraft magazine.
I started my project by stamping my first rose image off the card ( 12cm square )  with versa mark. I then embossed this with white embossing powder and stamped a further two roses, one at either side with the masking technique. I embossed in the same way as the first rose, then painted the roses with distress inks watered down ( victorian velvet, peeled paint ) then added a touch of mica paint to shade the roses in too.
I stamped the sentiment from the free gift set in black ink and added a few silver sequins to balance the card up. I Matted it onto black cardstock 12.5cm square ( the black perfectly frames the image) then patterned pink paper ( 14cm square ) to bring out the pink in the rose petals and then mount onto a card base to finish.

My fair lady.

Hi there. Hope you are all well on this rather rainy Saturday afternoon. Today I thought I would share with you a card I made some time ago, it's a little bit warped with the weight of other cards on top of it, but I think it's still worthy of sharing anyway.
The papers are from tilda, the die panels are from the couture collection ( adoring hearts ) the oval die is spellbinders and the cameo is Marianne.
The card fold is featured in Everyone needs a houghie 2 project book, it's a really good resource book for all your different folded cards, boxes and special effects.

Vellum flowers.

Hi there. Hope you are all well on this Friday morning and looking forward to the weekend ahead. I have a number of cards to share with you, but decided to show this card first, only because I like the embossing on the stamped vellum flowers, it makes them stand out form the rest of the card.
My inspiration for this card was taken from a card i saw on pinterest website, there are so many beautiful cards on the site, every time i look i am inspired by the talented designers.

This is my first vellum project for a while and I had forgotten how nice it is to work with, the white embossing powder really makes a difference to the coloured vellum flowers and I love the sentiment too. I shall definitely be making some more cards with vellum in the future.
