Hiya everyone. My card today is mostly mono chrome with a hint of kraft card thrown in. The flower is a pre-cut design on a cutting machine. I bend the petals with my poky tool to give the petals some movement and built the layers up to foam a full bloom.
The labels are cut from a die set, then stamped and attached to the card with a black and white dotty knoted bow. I used black gem flourishers to tie the whole effect together.

Little birdy.

Hiya everyone today's card is a simple and quick make. The layout is very simple with not much layering involved the whole effect is easy to achieve. The bird (docrafts) is stamped on to a white die-cut circle and paper pieced. The flower die is from Marianne designs. I decorated the centres with pearl Brad's to give them more dimension. To finish the card i stamped Happy Birthday, perfect for a quick card or make a batch of them in different colours and change the stamped image too.

Coastal getaway.

Hi everyone. Just stopped by this Saturday afternoon to share this seaside inspired card with you all. It's a quick and simple card made with a few matt and layers, the toppers came from a A4 sheet featuring Michael Powell's original artwork brought to us by docrafts (l love this style of drawing)  I backed them onto red cardstock to bring the red out of the picture and coordinated the backing papers to match too. I finished with a sentiment and a fishermen's inspired knot. As simple as that!

Thinking of you.

Hi there. Here's a quick and simple card made with a few craft items in my stash. I saw this card idea in a craft magazine but I can't remember which one? The yellow and green card stock look so nice together it reminds me of lush green grass and buttercups on summer countryside walks (just perfect.) I stamped the bicycle (docrafts.) off the page a little and coloured it with a green promarker. I used glossy eccents on the wheels to give them dimension, and yellow flower buttons to replicate flowers in the bicycle's basket (the buttons were threaded with green bakers twine.) and the rest of the card is easy to follow by the photos... A easy project!!

Exploding Box.

Hi there. Thought i'd share this Exploding Box with you all today. Which i made resently for a friend of my mother in laws to give as a gift for a 90th birthday... I embossed the panels on the top, sides and inside of the box with a tonic embossing folder, the pretty circle die on top of the box and inside is a Nellie snellin die (which l really like) the leaf die is part of a set from Marianne design's the small butterfly die is from sizzix (I embossed the butterflies with the same tonic folder as the panels too) i added paper flowers and pearls to give it an elegant touch... I hope Alma liked it? I was pleased with it myself to say l had never made one before. I always thought they looked so intricate and complicated but I won't be put off again. I am planning my next expolding box soon.

Water stamping technique (ghosting)

Hi everyone. Just stopped by to share these father's day cards with you all made with a simple stamping technique. I was inspired to try this technique when I saw Ali reeve from stamp's away demonstrate it on create and craft.
First of all take a piece of card cut to size for the main topper image, then take one distress ink ( l chose peeled paint for the 1st card and barn door for the 2nd card) with a piece of cut and dry, cover the card shading it in different area's to give it a two tone look. The next step is to soak a piece of kitchen towel with water, press the stamp into it until the surface of the stamp is wet, then stamp on to the inked card, lift off the card it will take off the ink and leave a stamped impression, take a piece of dry kitchen towel and dab it to get the excess water off. When dry over stamp the image with a black ink pad. To make the background repeat the same technique but don't bother distressing it all because the topper will cover the rest. To finish assemble your card and add a sentiment.

Pinwheels.

Hi everyone. Hasn't the whether been lovely today, with this sunny weather in mind i couldn't resist making this quick summer inspired card from an idea I saw in a issue of Papercraft inspiration magazine. The design is the same but I have used the craft asalyum paper's to decorate it. I love the way the pinwheels bridge the gap at the bottom of the card and the paper's complement this fresh on trend summer look...
