Brusho background.

Hi there. Brusho's are my favourite product at the moment. It's a highly pigmented water-colour crystal and when sprinkled onto card covered with water, bursts of vibrant colour explode everywhere to leave a colourful background....... There are so many different techniques you can try with this amazing product. I will be experimenting with these at a later date, but I have used the easy sprinkle techinque mentioned.
I should just mention about the pots they come in, it would be wise to poke a hole in the top with a push pin, to allow the crystals to sprinkle out in a controlled manner. The colours I have chosen for my background are brilliant red, leaf green and lemon. The dies I have used are Sue Wilson's checkerboard border, which doubles up as a daisy, which I have used it for on this project and the double stitched rectangles for the frame and faux ribbon strip. Love is in the air.

Hi there,  I thought I'd share this card creation with you to celebrate Valentine's day. I made this easel card using Marianne Design Anja's filigree heart in pink and white pearlesant card, trimmed with a bow and glitter dazzler.

Shimmer all the way.

Hi there. Here is a technique i have visited time and time again so be prepared to get inky fingers with this one. I made these backgrounds with cosmic shimmer mist a while back and made them into cards as you see below. I happened to saw Julia watts use the same product a few weeks a go and i couldn't resist getting my mists out again and getting messy with some more backgrounds which I will share with you on another post.
I started by priming my comic shimmer mister's by tapping them on my hand to disperse the mica inside, then I sprayed my card with two colours from the range ( blue lime and bilberry crush ) they will emerge to give a lovely effect on your card and the mica gives it extra shimmer on the surface. when completely dry stamp your image with versa mark and then emboss with embossing powder and heat ( I used gold embossing powder ) I cut the card to the size of my projects and Matt and layered on to my base card's. I added a stamped sentiment to finish. Here are the finished cards.....

Botanical bliss.

Hi There. Last year l bought a starter papercraft kit in the sale from hobbycraft. I give myself a challenge to use most of the items in the kit to make my cards with and to show you don't need lots of crafty stash to have fun... it's also great for beginner's that are just starting out on the cardmaking journey and to maybe give it a go first before they decide if they like it or not. I definitely got the bug! My inspiration for these cards have come from stamp'in up projects and the way they use lots of bakers twine to embellish. I have used most of the items in the kit apart from the inks, which i will use in other project's and I still have lots left over. What good value! Here are the cards...l hope they inspire you!

Z fold card.

Hi there. I hope you are well and enjoying your day. I have decided to share this z- fold card with you all to day, its a folded card i have seen demonstrated on the create and craft channel and thier are lots of examples on Pinterest. It is so easy to make and works well for both male and female cards. I have made this for my dad's 80th brithday. The paper's are from a 12x12 double- sided design pad called It's a men's world. I cut the transport images out of one of the 24 design sheets and distressed the edges with distress ink. I added a stamped sentiment to the back fold and added a personal touch with gold peel off sticker's. Hope to see you soon and keep crafting!!!

Decopatch

Hi there. Thought I'd share with you my first ever attempt at making a decopatch box and guess what I'm addicted. Since then i have covered a small chest of drawers, treasure chest and i have more projects to make.

Treasure chest.

Firstly i took the hinges and fastenings off first then painted the inside of the box in pink acrylic paint. Leave awhile to dry, tear découpage paper in to strips and tear again into small pieces. Glue pieces to box overlapping slightly then seal again with glue. Leave to dry and finish by putting the box together again. I have included a photo of the other two projects done with the same technique.
