Shaker easel card.

Hi there, hope you had a Lovely bank holiday weekend. My quick share today features one of the die collections from Lynda Chapman's paper boutique range. I thought I'd incorporate a shaker into the centre circle for something a little bit different and make the card into an easel. The options are endless with these dies. Please join me next time to see what I achieve with Lynda's paper boutique dies.
Thanks for calling in and happy crafting

Sea shell box.

Hi there on this Wednesday Morning. Today I thought I'd share this box I decorated, useing an inexpensive wooden box I picked up.
I took of the the hinges first then painted a base coat of gesso and dried. I painted on two costs of pale blue acrylic paint and dried. Next i dry brushed white acrylic paint through and stamped some shells with a blue ink pad.
I adhered a piece of frayed Hessian onto the top of the box with a glue gun, a long with the shells, pearls and flower soft between the shells, which I thought was quite sand looking.
I then took some gold guilding wax and highlighted the shells and box with it.
To finish I painted the whole box with a Matte mod podge to seal it.
It's a lovely way to use up those shells you pick up at the beach every summer.

Rocker card.

Hi there on this Sunday Morning, another warm day forecast today...This is a quick post today to showcase lynda Chapman's nested dies made into a rocker card using the main backer die, sentiment die + backer and Dragonfly and body die + backer, all from collection 5. I love the green and blue colour scheme it really shows the dies in they basic foam. You could even use these cards for place settings at weddings, just change the sentiment to the persons name or maybe use the butterflies instead of the Dragonflies which are in a previous set.
Your imagination is endless with these amazing die collections.
Thanks for calling in and don't forget to stop by for more craftyness next time.

mixed media heart. Beachy

Hi there. Hope you are well and looking for the weekend ahead. I have another mixed media project to share with you today. It's similar to my inspire project heart but I didn't bother to apply any modelling paste to it.
I decided on a beachy theme for this project so first of all i applied a few coats of acrylic pale blue paint and stamped some texture stamps in distress broken china and white acrylic paint. I stamped and embossed on to the project with a viva decor stamp from a seaside collection to add texture to the overall design. I found elements from my crafty stash to compliment the theme, the glass pebbles were a good found. I think they set the under water beach vibe to this project I was trying to represent. I finished by adding pearls and guilding wax to highlight elements on the project. It wasn't very difficult. I kept it very simple and uncluttered and I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
It just shows you when you go out of your comfort zone that you can produce some  different projects.
Thanks for calling in and please join me for more craftyness next time.
