Hello.

Hi there, I'm quite late with my post today... I've been busy over the weekend, but still managed to make a few quick cards to share with you over this week.... I've been having a go at making cards with washi tape. This is the first time I've actually made any cards with washi tape and whilst looking on Pinterest the other day i was inspired by the beautiful cards I saw on there, this card is based on one of the ideas i saw... hope you like it!!
Thanks for calling in and happy crafting!!

Spring posy.

Hi there on this Friday morning. I can't believe it's the end of another week, it's gone so fast... I have one more card to share with you today featuring the paper boutique. I promise I'll move onto something different next week.... maybe some washi tape cards if I get time?
I thought I would decorate the centre circle with a pre die cut lattice sheet I found in my crafty stash, which i cut to a circle the same size as the former. I mounted this onto my circle then i put a frame around it to finish it off, next I layered my decoupage then finally i found a sentiment to tie in with the whole card. I then assembled all the elements onto the doily then onto my base layered card. I hope you have enjoyed looking at these cards this week as much as a have enjoyed making them.
Thank you for all your lovely comments. I love to hear from you, see you next week.
Happy crafting

Make a wish.

Hi there on this Thursday Morning. This is the card i was meant to share with you yesterday...
I started by cutting two of the largest nesting dies in this set out of white card, on one I creased a small section at the top to act as a hinge. I adhered this to the other nesting piece to form my shaped card base. I cut 2 doilys out, one in red card and the other out of blue card then i adhered the red doily to my card front. I then began to paper piece some of the blue tulip doily pieces back into the red doily. I decorated the pierced centre circle with a sentiment topper, embellished with red and blue small flowers and finished the centres with pearls.
Thanks for calling in and happy crafting.

Especially for you.

Hi there on this Wednesday morning. Unfortunately i have got my posts muddled up, so the card i was intending to share with you today. I will share tomorrow instead...yet again this card is from the beautiful paper boutique collection. I can't stop using these dies, the possibilities  are endless. This time i thought I would incorporate the dies on a 8x8ins card and show how they look equally as gorgeous on a larger format.
I started by positioning all my mats on my card, before i adhered the mats down I put foam pads between the green mat and fushia pink mat, then i continued to form my doily. I adhered this to my white mat, along with the circle and the two sentiments, which i put one off set to give it that shadow effect. I finally finished by adding a double winged butterfly from the collection and pearls in the corners to bring it all together.
Thanks for calling in and happy crafting

Springtime tulips

Hi there on this Tuesday morning. Here is the next card I wanted to share with you featuring the pretty paper boutique nesting dies. I believe this set is from the third collection to come out... I started by cutting the largest die in yellow card then the next die down in lime green card to foam the pretty doily shape. I cut the pierced circle in white card then stamped the sentiment in black ink. ( in this occasion I didn't want to use the sentiment die included )  Next I cut a ring to go around the circle to frame it. ( the piercing is still visible around the circle ) At this stage i assembled all the card together then finally I added a glitter foam butterfly from the collection. I think these dies are so versatile. Next time I will share a shaped card to showcase the possibilities of this die collection....
Thanks for calling in and happy crafting.

Paper boutique nesting dies.

Hi there on this Monday afternoon. I have a number of cards to share with you featuring The paper boutique die collection from Creative crafting world. The dies are all nesting and when combined together, give an easy instant card effectively.
I cut the first nesting die in white card then repeated it in red card then adhered together. I cut the doily in half then placed each half along the left and right edges of my a card blank ( 6x6in square) so they matched up equally. I cut two strips of card, the wider being the blue and the white slightly less. I stamped my sentiments at either end of the white stripe in red ink. I backed it onto the blue stripe then adhered it to the middle of my card, were the doilys meet up. I cut one of the fancy butterflies out in red then it's outline in white. I added my butterfly to the middle of the stripe and to complete my card I added pale blue candy to the flower centres of the doily
and paper pierced some centres of the flowers in the butterfly wings. I have more cards to share in this range, please call back to see what else I have achieved with this beautiful collection.

Brusho card.

Hi there on another beautiful sunny day. I thought I'd share this card using one of my brusho backgrounds I already had prepared. I cut Tim holtz's mixed media die out of a square piece of white card then adhered this over my brusho background wih cosmic. I adhered this to my square white base card with foam pads. I finally added a happy birthday sentiment in the bottom right hand corner with black ink. A quick and easy project for even a beginner to achieve.

Wellington bear continued...

Hi there on this Tuesday Morning. I hope you are having a good day so far.. I am going to my card class today. I'm not sure what we'll be up to, but I'm sure it will be something we'll enjoy doing, we get the chance to play with different products. Last time we did a Lovely plant pot card with a hidden message inside. I keep forgetting to share it with you. I'm on a roll with my male cards at the moment, but I will get time to share it with you in the future. I mentioned in my last post that i would share some more Wellington bear cards. I rather like the paper on this one and the red makes the 2 toppers pop, the candy just gives it that finishing touch...i think that's all for today. Thanks for calling in.

Gardeners delight.

Hi there on this Friday afternoon. I hope you are enjoying your day and looking forward to the weekend. I have a gardening card to share with you today, prefect for those male or female gardeners out there. I'm not a bit green fingered, but for pulling the odd weed or to out. I do appreciate the hard work that goes into planning a garden and nurturing plants and I love to see beautiful gardens when am out and about.
I love cards with banners and flags on them so I thought I'd try and incorperate them into my design. I inked most of the edges to give the card a down the potting shed earthy look and you can't have a gardening card without a bit of garden twine somewhere, the enamel dots in each corner, finish the entire card off. I was quite pleased with the end result. I hope you like it too.
Thank you for all your lovely comments. I do appreciate them, please call in soon

Wildlife card.

Hi there on this Thursday Morning I hope you are well and enjoying your day. I thought I'd share this easy card with you today. I love wildlife so when I saw this hunkydory topper I just couldn't resist making a card with it. I didn't want to detract from the beautiful topper so I left the background very simply...The background paper is from craftwork cards and i used eyelets in the corners to tie it all in. I hope I have inspired you and call back soon.

Cheers.

Hi there on this Wednesday morning. I mentioned in my last post i would share some more cards from my hunkydory stash. I used one half of this background sheet on yesterday's card and i thought I'd use the other half today, which already had the image of the bottle and glass printed onto it.
I didn't want my card to look flat so i decided to cut into another background sheet identical to it, but just cut out the outline of the bottle and glass to give my card a decoupage effect that i wanted.I adhered it directly over the first image with foam pads and finished with a big, bold sentiment... I have a few male family members i could send this to. Please leave a comment if you wish and happy crafting.

For somebody special.

Hi there on this rainy Tuesday Morning. I have lots of hunkydory background and topper sheets to use up, so i thought I'd start making some quick cards for my male family members. I struggle making male themed cards so this was just the ticket.
I cut the A4 background sheet in half and backed it onto gold mirri board. I took a tag from one of the topper sheets and put a eyelet in either end with some twine. I threaded it behind the tag and wrapped it around the gold mirri board. I adhered this to the cream base card with foam tape to give it height. To finished i sat by my toppers onto my card and raised them up with foam pads to give them extra dimension. I'm quite pleased with the overall finished affect. I will share more cards with you made using my hunkdory stash next time. Thank you for calling in.

Doily card.

Hi there on this Monday afternoon. I hope you are well and enjoying your day. I thought I'd share this easy card wih you today, to showcase this sweet dixie doily die. When I first got this die I wasn't sure what to do with it, so on this card I decided to make it the focal part of my design.
I off set another doily in gold mirri board behind the main doily to give it a more luxurious feel and finished the centre with an enamel blue dot. I adhered this with foam pads onto my mats and layers. l cut a banner from white card, stamped 'with love' onto it then tied bakers twine around it. I adhered this to my card with foam pads. I think it looks very Moroccan and would be lovely in bright, virberate colours ...I think that's all for know. I hope I have inspired you a little.

Winter flowers.

Hi there on this Sunny Thursday Morning. I hope you are well and enjoying this beautiful sunshine we are having today. I thought I'd share these cards with you today featuring a creative expressions stamp set i was lucky enough to win over on Sue Wilson's blog...
I coloured the stamped winter flowers in with promarkers and used backing papers to coordinate with the colours in the flowers
I thought I would keep the cards simple and let the stamps do all the work. They are good in the fact that they have the shading lines on the stamp, so for a novice like me they are ideal to colour in. I think thats all for now. Please call back again for more craftyness....

Birthday Celebrations.

Hi there on this Wednesday morning. I thought I'd share this sue wilson inspired card today featuring the beautiful Lyra die from the talented sue Wilson...
I started with a 8x8in white card base. I applied my first Matt to my card ( deep purple card) with cosmic, the second ( gold card ) and third Matt ( deep purple card ) i raised with foam tape to give it some diminish. I cut the Lyra die from a measured piece of white card and bridged the gap with a piece of rose embossed gold card. I secured this to third matt (deep purple card ) with foam tape... I finished off by adding a row of pearls across the top and bottom, two die cut butterflies with a cream die cut rose in each centre and a birthday sentiment in the corner.. I hope I have inspired you

Stencil card.

Hi there on this Tuesday Morning. I hope you enjoyed your Easter break and had lots of chocolate goodness.  I thought I'd share this card with you today made with the chrysanthemum stencil I have previously used on another project I have shared.
I started by pre measuring a piece of white card. I layed my stencil on to the card then i applied modelling paste though the stencil, allow it to dry. When dry I took my distress inks in various colours and blended the colours together, leaving the centre of the chrysanthemum lighter . I stamped my sentiment in black archival ink and mat and layered my project to finish.

Enjoy your day.

Hi there on this Monday morning. Woke up today and was greeted with quite heavy snow, but it has soon turned to sleet and I'm sure it won't stick around for to much longer before its gone....what unseasonal weather to end the Easter break. Well moving on here is another card made with craftwork card products...
I started by cutting different plain and patterned Matts and layers for my background with my Gemini with the double stitched rectangles die from sue Wilson. I arranged these onto my card and prepared my tag, threading a ribbon though the top and around the tag. I adhered my base layers and tag to my card with cosmic shimmer glue, whilst it was drying i cut my flowers from the pretty petal die ( sweet dixie ) out of craftwork card mix of papers to match the design. I choose a sentiment and found a wooden embellishment that i thought would look nice in the corner of the tag. I arranged the elements onto my card and adhered them to my card ( i used foam pads for the flowers, tag and cosmic for the wooden embellishment  ) I finished by adding buttons to the flowers and small pearls to fill in around the card....I hope I have inspired you

Happy Easter.

Hi there on this Easter Sunday. Thought I'd share this stamped Easter card that I have shared with you before on my blog. I thought it deserved another come back.
I used a justrite stamp, distress inks ( peeled paint, mustard seed and broken China ) card and a sentiment.
I started with a card 7.5cm x 21cm. Matt a blue piece of paper 6.5cm x 20cm on to the card, then cut a piece of white card 6cm x 19.5cm and stamp the image 3 times, making sure they are at equal distances apart. Stamp 'Happy' at the top, 'Easter' at the bottom as shown. Mask the centre image and stamp a swirl at the base, take the mask off and the swirl appears behind the jug. Colour the flowers and jug with distress inks. I watered them down to give it a more lose water coloured feel. ( I must confess i really need to practice more on my colouring in, and master the techniques better )
To finish assemble the card together with cosmic shimmer and finish the daffodil heads with a sprinkling of glitter.
