Z fold card.

Hi there. I hope you are well and enjoying your day. I have decided to share this z- fold card with you all to day, its a folded card i have seen demonstrated on the create and craft channel and thier are lots of examples on Pinterest. It is so easy to make and works well for both male and female cards. I have made this for my dad's 80th brithday. The paper's are from a 12x12 double- sided design pad called It's a men's world. I cut the transport images out of one of the 24 design sheets and distressed the edges with distress ink. I added a stamped sentiment to the back fold and added a personal touch with gold peel off sticker's. Hope to see you soon and keep crafting!!!

Decopatch

Hi there. Thought I'd share with you my first ever attempt at making a decopatch box and guess what I'm addicted. Since then i have covered a small chest of drawers, treasure chest and i have more projects to make.
Trinket box

Chest of drawers

Treasure chest.

Firstly i took the hinges and fastenings off first then painted the inside of the box in pink acrylic paint. Leave awhile to dry, tear découpage paper in to strips and tear again into small pieces. Glue pieces to box overlapping slightly then seal again with glue. Leave to dry and finish by putting the box together again. I have included a photo of the other two projects done with the same technique.

Hearts

Hi everyone. Just reporting back as promised with some cards which i made from the second background we produced in class. This was made identical to the first one in my last blog post but different coloured inks were used on this one ( I love how the two colours blended on this background )  I mostly used the free dies that came with my Gemini machine ( these cards may give you some ideas to what to make with your free dies if you are stuck for ideas ) cardstock to coordinate, baker's twine and sentiments to suit. I hope i have inspired you a little with a few more ideas and they are easy too make too!
I have some more cards to share next time featuring a different background we made in class, so please stop by and be inspired!

Spring zest.

Hi there. I thought I'd share a collection of cards i produced with one of the backgrounds i made at my class. I decided at home to die-cut a few of my backgrounds and use them as tiny elements on my cards instead of using the whole background on a number of cards. I have made lots of cards and still have a little left to make at least two more cards.
The flower centres and the leaves have been cut out of the embossed silver mirri board. The surface was covered with alcohol inks, blended together with a little blending solution to mix the colours up. It was a really nice effect and the colours went well together. The cards below are the finished examples. Hope you enjoy!
My next blog post features similar cards done with the same technique but a different colour.

Let your dreams take flight.

Hi there. Thought I'd share two cards with you today. I have made the backgrounds myself by spritzing several pieces of cardstock with a red and green metallic spray. The results were all quite impressive. I cut the corners out with the Tim holtz's mixed media dies to create the feature corners. I like these dies they are so useful to fill a corner when it needs that extra something. The square card was also stamped with an assortment of different texture stamps from Sheena if you look closely. The butterflies were also die cut and stamped and the sentiment stamped in black just finishes it off.

Easter blooms.

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a lovely Easter break. Today I would like to share this Easter themed card with you. I used the tattered lace charisma rainbow floral bouquet and blissful bloom dies which Eileen kindly printed off then die-cut with the identical dies for my project.
Incidentally I'm sending Eileen this card for Easter which I'm sure she will love. The printed  flower sheets don't look much on paper but when cut out with the matching dies look so beautiful. The card is nice and easy but the flowers in the rose bowl are the focal point on the card. Hope you like it!
