Vintage car.

Hi everyone, what a beautiful day it is today, just looked on the weather station it's 30oc the hottest day of the year so far.
I have just finished this card featuring a background technique i found on sue lehrer's blog ( still stamping with sue ) called camouflage or camo technique.
I have followed the technique but instead of using stampin up ink pads I have used distress ink pads and used water instead of rubbing alcohol.
This is my take on this technique...
Scrunch a piece of cream paper up. Open it out. Rub with vintage photo distress ink over the creases. Spritz with water to make the ink work and to make it more manageable to work with in your hands ( don't wet the paper to much it will tear ) Scrunch up again but in different area's of the paper. Open out and ink with peeled paint distress ink and Spritz again. Turn over the paper and flatten with a bone folder then leave to dry. You may go in with more colour if you think it needs it. Cut to the size of your matt and add a topper. I choice a car but it would suit anything with a outdoors theme like walking, climbing, military etc.
Thanks for calling in and happy Crafting!!

The harbour.

Hi everyone, Hope you are all OK on this showery afternoon. We don't seem to be having much luck with the weather in the UK yet again the weather as stopped play at Wimbledon and they are also having to play tomorrow to catch up. I hope the player's don't have to hang around to long before play resumes today.
My card today is a bright and sunny seaside inspired card  very indifferent to the dull and cloudy weather today. This quick and simple card was put together with a few matts and layers. I backed the topper onto black card, added a nautical knot with twine and found a sentiment to match.
Thanks for visiting my blog and happy Crafting!!!
