Wedding card.

Hi there, thought I'd share this card with you all today. I decided to have a change from stamping and make a pretty die-cut wedding card from the couture collection, this set is part of the adoring hearts collection. It is very intricate and cuts like a dream...l don't think this card needs too many embellishments, because the die is so pretty on its own. The sentiment stamp and rings are embossed in silver for a touch of luxury and plenty of pearls added too... I have a few more cards to show you in my next post made with the same die, make sure you stop by to check them out... I think thats all for now.

Lovely.

Hi there, thought i'd share another watercolour card with you all today. It's a quick and simple background technique with distress inks and stamps...
I made the background by selecting 3 distress inks (I chose broken China, rusty hinge and mustard seed) I applied the ink directly from my ink pads on to the heat resistant mat then spritzed with water to get the inks to merge together, with my piece of watercolour card I put it face down into the distress inks (keep swirling it around in the inks to get the desired effect on your card) next I inked up a flower stamp using the same distress colours and spritzed it with water. Stamp randomly on to the background (you will found that as the stamp blends into the wet background it will leave a soft watercolour image) leave to dry, when dry trim your card and mount. To finish I stamped the word lovely, then decorated with 3 butterflies.

florals and butterflies.

Hiya everyone. Thought i'd share these cards with you using the acrylic block technique, but instead of using cardstock (like in my last post) l used watercolour card. I prefer the look of the watercolour card better and the overall affect looks so lovely. I achieved 3 different backgrounds with 2 sized acrylic blocks, the combination of distress inks I used were rusty hinge, broken China and peeled paint. I chose a selection of stamps from my crafty stash and stamped with black archival ink, the butterfly dies are from sizzix.

Acrylic block technique.

Hiya everyone, couldn't resist showing you these quick and simple cards i made with the acrylic block background technique. All you need is cardstock, stamp and an acrylic block to hand. This technique is ideal for a last minute card.
I stamped directly on to the acrylic block with distress inks (not being too fussy were the colours went) then spritzed water on to it. Stamp on to your preferred cardstock I used white card but you can also use watercolour card if you like. I haven't tried it yet but I have seen it on cards and it looks amazing. To finish I stamped my image on to the card (I chose a solid stamp against this background because it suited it better) and a sentiment.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post, please leave a comment if you wish and happy crafting.

Thank you.

Hiya! Happy Sunday everyone. I thought I'd share another bokeh card with you all today. I used bright colours for this background to give it a cheerful look, because the white circle's were quite pale i decided to add some smaller coloured circles to give it added interest. To finish i stamped my sentiment in black, added a few seqiuns, matted the background onto black cardstock and mounted it on to a A5 card. If you have never tried this technique out before please refer to my previous post...you will love the effect it makes on your cards. I did:-)

Bokeh Technique.

Hiya! I'm back with my latest creation. It's a card with a cool background technique called bokeh. A photography technique that creates out of focus points of light, it makes the most beautiful effect and very easy to achieve. This is my first attempt at this popular technique myself and I was quite pleased with the result. I hope you enjoy it too.
This is how I made the background...
I firstly started with a piece of white card measuring 5.5 in x 8in. I then chose 3 distress inks (peeled paint, broken China and vintage photo) with a piece of cut and dry. Start with one colour aply this to the card and fill in with the remaining colours, perfectly blending them together. Cut 3 size circle's on a piece of thin acetate (I used the smallest circles on my nesting dies) and with a piece of cut and dry. I randomly sponged the circles on to the card with a white pigment ink pad (docrafts artiste) aply varying depths of ink to the circles, so it gives the impression that some are further away than others and overlap them too. when you are happy with the desired effect. Leave to dry and mount on to a A5 card then decorate.
It really makes a lovely background for a card and doesn't need a lot of decoration the background makes it...
